1. What this is
ToolVerified ("we", "us") runs a public directory of tools and products at https://www.toolverified.com/. By browsing the site or submitting a listing you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. Accounts
You need an account to submit a listing, upvote or comment. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Accounts created with an email address must confirm that address before submitting. We may suspend an account that is used for spam, scraping, impersonation or abuse.
3. Submitting a listing
You may only submit a product you own or are authorised to represent. You confirm that the content you publish (name, descriptions, logo, screenshots and links) is yours to publish and does not infringe anyone else's rights.
We draft listing copy automatically from your public web page as a convenience. That draft is not published until you have reviewed and saved it, and you remain responsible for what your listing says.
4. How listings are published
A listing goes live when a member of our team approves it, and by no other route. We may decline or remove a listing at our discretion, for example if the site is broken, deceptive, illegal, adult, malware-hosting, or simply not a product. Where we decline, we will tell you why.
5. The badge
The badge is how we confirm you control the site you submitted: we fetch the page and look for it, which tells us the submission is genuine. That is its only purpose here, and it is what lets us publish you the same day instead of holding the listing in the queue.
The badge is optional and you are free to remove it at any time. We do not require it as a condition of being listed, we will not unpublish your listing for taking it down, and the link on your listing is the same either way. Verifying changes how soon you publish, never what your listing gets.
6. Payments
There are none. Submitting, publishing and being featured are all free, and featured placement is chosen by us editorially. If that ever changes, the terms will change first and it will not apply retroactively to listings already published.
7. Your content, your rights
You keep ownership of everything you submit. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display it on the site, in our social posts and in our newsletter, for as long as your listing is published. Ask us to remove a listing and we will.
8. Comments and votes
Be useful and be civil. We remove comments that are abusive, deceptive, or posted only to promote something. Vote manipulation (extra accounts, paid votes, bots) leads to removal of the listing.
9. What we do not promise
The site is provided as it is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a particular level of traffic, any search ranking, or that a link will produce a specific result. We are not responsible for the products listed here or for anything that happens on their sites.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
