About Managed Memcached Hosting
Velstash Cache provides dedicated managed Memcached instances for developers and small teams that want network-reachable caching without managing servers, clusters, monitoring, firewalls, or cloud capacity planning. Users can start with a free 100MB cache instance for one week without a credit card, then upgrade to paid memory-based plans when needed. Paid plans are prorated by the minute, can be cancelled anytime, and currently include free egress on all plans.
Cache instances are hosted in Europe, with OVH Gravelines, France listed as the current region and more regions planned. Existing Memcached clients work through the standard Memcached protocol, with TLS available on a separate port. The dashboard shows hit rate, memory usage, item count, active connections, evictions, per-slab memory, latency percentiles, top keys, top prefixes, and charts across multiple time windows. Alerts can notify users by email when memory usage or hit rate crosses configured thresholds. Credentials can be scoped for different environments or applications, including read-only access or credentials without flush permission.
