About Anatomy Atlas 3D

Anatomy Atlas 3D is an interactive human anatomy reference that runs in the browser with WebGL. It is built on the BodyParts3D dataset and uses the Foundational Model of Anatomy terminology, and its page lists more than 2,200 structures you can rotate, hide and inspect. It is made by Muhammad Wasim as part of ToolSphare.

The body is organised into 15 systems: skeletal, muscular, heart, arterial, venous, nervous, respiratory, digestive, urinary, reproductive, endocrine, skin, sense organs, fascia and ligaments, and lymphatic. You can also navigate by region, from head and neck to the lower limbs, compare male and female anatomy, and look up any structure by organ, FMA ID, Latin name or system, or through an A to Z index of anatomical names.

The viewing tools are what make a 3D atlas useful for study. You can cut through the body along sagittal, coronal and transverse planes, fade layers with opacity controls, and pull structures apart in an exploded view to see how they fit together. For learning there is a study library, bookmarks, notes, saved scenes and 3D practice quizzes.

It is marked for education only, not for medical diagnosis, treatment or surgical navigation. The site loads its content with JavaScript, so it needs a reasonably modern browser and device.
